Greece crisis creates a roadmap for better Europe

There are positive effects in Greece crisis. European decision- makers are known now better than ever - after “visiting” via TV and Internet our homes every day. The purpose of EU is becoming more familiar and citizens are able to evaluate issues in progress at real time. First target in the roadmap will be better connections and understanding of the decisions-makers and also better communication between politicians from different states.

In a way Greece is like mirror for other countries. For example in Finland one of first decisions made by new government was to allocate big sum to decline gray economy. Similar policy continues to raise every country in EU. Second line in the roadmap is better moral development, which means that Europeans perhaps will not accept weak moral and corruption either other countries in the world.

Healthier competition will be the third target line in the Roadmap. Europe needs a clear business strategy, which means better guide lines of support policy for the enterprises and R&D. EU has to be in front line in development of renewable energy sources and EU hopefully will demand similar development from our business partners outside of Europe. Healthier competition means also healthy working climate in all organizations. More work with good motivation will play very important role in building better and fair Europe.

Monetary economy has kicked over the traces. It is very easy to blame banks and other financial institutions. In my mind main reason is weak rules and non professional people behind the financial sectors. I think if the governments and main banks agree the rules to increase minimum equity rates for the banks to be more than 20 %, would solve many problems in the future. Of course supervision and sanctions has to be clear. Fourth line in the roadmap would be healthier financial sector and financially healthier states.

Tight relationship between EU and Russia will be almost vital condition for future development for both parties. The natural gas pipeline from Russia to middle Europe is a good example about long term relationship. Fifth target line in the roadmap will be the lasting relationship between EU and Russia.

I am sure that European Union will develop themselves much stronger at long term basis (20…50 years) because of the crisis in progress. We are facing several big problems, but there is not such, which are not solvable. Particularly I trust younger citizens, which are more worried about sustainable development and quality of life to them is much bigger issue than money.
